gurren lagann and eureka seven movies

yesterday i watched the Eureka seven movie and bought the Gurren Lagann the Movie 1. today i went and watched the Gurren Lagann the Movie 2. its been a glorious two days. i really liked how the Gurren Lagann movies handled shortining the 27 episode series down to two 2 hour-ish movies. the added scenes and redone battles were quite awesome, as was the animation (specially in the 2nd movie, last battle is extremely well animated).
the Eureka Seven movie was ok.. i was extremely confused since they changed characters roles/personalities/duties, the entire plot, eureka and rentons relationship.. besically everything, and it was all in japanese so i have no clue to what was said. but im sure if i could have understood a word they said it would have been a better experience.. which was already. im very glad that they didnt try to stuff a 50 episode show into a 2 hour movie, that would have been horrible, so i really dont mind that everything was completely different.
when you see the 2nd Gurren Lagann movie, you get a new "Evangelion 2.0: you can not advance" trailer (i was hoping they would since Gurren Lagann is made by gainax). it too was glorious as it shows much more action with the Eva's and finally shows the new character fully and sort of shows her role in the new movie. glorious. oh so glorious.

even more detail
(ink, ?x? (i dont know how big it is since i measured in cm.. and i forgot what i measured..))

this was an assignment called "tokyo cartography". the assignment was to make a map or your idea of how tokyo is to you, and since i constantly see mass groups of people at stations and around the city, i figured this was a good idea as my idea of tokyo.
there are also some hidden things in there.. if you know anything or have a slight (very very slight) knowledge of anime then you may understand them.. but if not then the things in it may seem slightly out of place and random (or seem anime-ish and i suppose the idea will get across...). anime is a huge thing in japan (manga however is bigger and is read by pretty much evertone here) and i love it, so i threw somethings in there, since that is apart of what i think of when i think of tokyo.
